2013-2014 Spring Regular Elections Coming Up!

The following positions are available to run for:
  • President - must have served as a sworn in representative of SGA for at least eight (8) weeks in the academic year he or she runs for office
  • Vice President - must have served as a sworn in representative of SGA for at least eight (8) weeks in the academic year he or she runs for office
  • Senators
    • Four (4) Frehsman Senators
    • Four (4) Sophomore Senators
    • Four (4) Junior Senators
    • Four (4) Senior Senators
    • Two (2) Graduate Senators
    • Five (5) Commuter Senators
    • Three (3) Residential Senators
    • Two (2) Adult Senators
    • Ten (10) At-Large Senators to represent the Student Body in general
    • One (1) Senator from each of the following schools and colleges:
      • College of Arts & Sciences
      • School of Business and Economics
      • School of Education
      • School of Health and Human Sciences
      • School of Music, Theater, and Dance
      • School of Nursing
      • Lloyd International Honors College
    • Five (5) Student Organization Senators to represent all recognize student organizations
Why Should I Get Involved? 
  • Voice the concerns of your peers to the Senate and administration
  • Build up your resume in a co-curricular activity! 
  • Represent UNCG's most prestigious and premier organization on campus 
  • Learn to write legislation, addressing important issues on campus, on the Legislative Committee
  • Learn how to allocate funding and balance a budget for student organization funding on the Finance Committee
  • Take part in SGA's outreach events to talk to students about their campus life on the Current Concerns Committee
  • Obtain marketing and promotional experience on the Publicity Committee
  • Organize and orchestrate the Spring and Fall elections period on the Elections Committee
  • Meet and work with other students who want to make UNCG a better place
  • Become familiar with Roberts Rule's of Order (RONR) and Parliamentarian Procedure
