The Judicial Branch is headed up by the Attorney General, who advises the SGA on constitutional issues and decisions.
The Attorney General works in partnership with the Dean of
Students Office providing guidance to students on their rights, the
Student Code of Conduct, and the Academic Integrity Policy. The Student
Code of Conduct and Academic Integrity Policy revolve around the
University’s five core values of Honesty, Trust, Fairness, Respect, and Responsibility. All violations of the Student Code of Conduct and the Academic Integrity Policy fall under one of these core values.
How can the Attorney General help you?
In the fall of 2008, The Office of the Attorney General launched its new
initiative entitled: The Office of the Attorney General: Students
Helping Students. As a partnership with the award-winning UNCG Cares:
Students Helping Students program, the Attorney General actively
supports the belief that all students who are members of the UNCG
community have a responsibility to help their fellow students who are in
distress.
There are four resource hubs available to students:
Dean of Students Office
Student Academic Services
Housing and Residence Life
Counseling and Testing Center
These
resource centers all seek to address students' needs, enabling them to
have a more successful academic career. In addition, the Attorney
General is available to give presentations which seek to increase
students' awareness on key policies and resources available to them.
